DES MOINES, Iowa, May 8, 2025 – The 2025 World Pork Expo, hosted by the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), invites pork professionals to connect, collaborate, and grow together. Set for June 4 and 5 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, this year’s event will once again offer industry-shaping insights, engaging sessions, and the largest pork-specific trade show in the world.
“In today’s challenging market, producers are looking for smart solutions and stronger connections,” said NPPC President Duane Stateler. “World Pork Expo continues to be a space where people across the industry come together to share ideas, gain new knowledge, and move the pork sector forward.”

The 2025 World Pork Expo offers a comprehensive schedule of educational events designed to cater to all levels of experience. Attendees can participate in a variety of seminars and sessions covering topics such as swine health, sustainability, global markets, and emerging technologies, providing ample opportunities for learning and professional development.
Business Seminars will take place on Wednesday afternoon in the Varied Industries Building and are included with your Expo admission.

Pork Academy Sessions and Networking Opportunities
Pork Academy, presented by the National Pork Board and Pork Checkoff, delivers expert insights into the current economic landscape and a variety of topics like improving swine health. Sessions will be held in the Varied Industries Building, and are included with your World Pork Expo admission.
Thursday, June 5
Young Pork Advocates Issues Meet Returns For 2025
Back for a second year, the Young Pork Advocates Issues Meet gives young adults ages 18–22 a platform to engage in meaningful discussions on current industry issues. Sponsored by Novus and Nutra Blend, this competitive event helps participants build critical thinking, public speaking, and policy development skills in a format modeled after NPPC’s own decision-making process.
The competition will include orientation, round robin discussions, and a final presentation round, with top finalists earning scholarships and the winner earning a trip to the NPPC Legislative Action Conference in Washington, D.C.
